Campus Wichita, an initiative of the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce and W (formerly Young Professionals of Wichita), dedicates time and resources to preparing Kansas college and university students for the workforce in Wichita. Through the planning of value-based programming and events and the creation of an engaging Fellows Program, Campus Wichita exposes students to industry and engages them in the community to help them envision a future of living and working in Wichita.

Website Design and Development

The Campus Wichita team from the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce and W selected Cassandra Bryan Design to create a robust website for local employers and Kansas college/university students. Both teams determined from the beginning that there would be the need for a public-facing side of the website, as well as login areas for both employers and students. It was also important to the Campus Wichita team for the website to generate various statistics related to student data.

The public-facing side of the website is highly optimized for summer internship searches and prominently promotes signing up as an employer or student. There is also a Help Center with resource articles created for both employers and students, an Events Calendar for related events and an Our Wichita section featuring information about Wichita, as well as Wichita Guides that communicate the many reasons to live and work in Wichita.

The website also features private sides for employers and students. After joining, employers can begin adding internship opportunities, which are then approved by Campus Wichita. Upon approval, employers can edit or delete internships and review the resume profiles of candidates. As for students, after joining, they are able to create and customize resume profiles that can be shared with direct links and submitted to employers for consideration.

Cassandra Bryan Design (CBD) created our Campus Wichita Website. It is absolutely amazing and easy to navigate. As a part of Campus Wichita initiatives, a resume developer and portal is available for college students, and a portal for employers is accessible for them to post internships.

Students are very happy with this process, as they can apply for multiple internships that employers post on the website. The website is getting high traffic, and Campus Wichita has grown tremendously since the launch. We are very thankful for the partnership with CBD and excited about the current and future growth of Campus Wichita!
