Cassandra Bryan Design often hosts students for job shadow experiences as part of our commitment to growing the next generation of creatives and marketers in Wichita. But even as they shadow, these future professionals shine bright!

Meet Rianna, who plans to attend Wichita State University to major in graphic design and minor in marketing. She hopes to grow her portfolio, skills and experience through school and a local agency internship. It was a joy to host her for a recent work shadow experience.

    1. Why did you choose cb{d} for your job shadow experience?

    A friend told me about her job shadow at cb{d} and her great experience! I looked into it, and everything about it seemed exactly what I was looking for.

    2. What type(s) of creative and marketing work are you most interested in?

    I am definitely more interested in graphic design, but I am looking to go into digital marketing a little bit as well!

    3. What made you interested in creative and marketing as a potential career?

    Growing up, I’ve always told myself I wanted to do some kind of digital art and landed on graphic design at a pretty early age. Art has always been my favorite, and I love working on computers. Digital marketing is a more recent interest that I’m excited to dabble in!

    4. Did you learn anything about the industry or agency life that surprised you?

    It was definitely eye-opening being able to see firsthand the different roles that work together to create something that works and looks good. Being able to watch the graphic designer and digital marketer at work showed me a realistic day in the life, which made me sure that this is what I wanted to do for my career.

    5. What was your favorite part of the day?

    My favorite part was talking to the whole team and seeing all the different personalities that came with the agency. I also loved looking through their work and experiencing the cool vibe in the agency, which made me feel comfortable and at ease.
