Giving Backcb{d} Donates to Wichita Family Crisis Center

January 29, 2021

In the wake of the recent global pandemic and nationwide stay-at-home orders, people from all corners of the world have struggled to combat the emotionally, physically, and financially draining effects of COVID-19. Today, it has become more critical throughout these turbulent times than ever before to show support for the local community by helping individuals in need.

About the Donation

Last December, Cassandra Bryan Design made a donation to the Wichita Family Crisis Center as a way to spread this support locally. The decision to provide a monetary donation to the center was made by Cassandra Bryan, founder and creative director of cb{d}, as a way to support a local cause in lieu of purchasing holiday gifts for retainer clients.

“This holiday season, we wanted to take the love and support our clients have provided this year by spreading it further locally,” said Cassandra. “In honor of our loyal clients, we have made a donation to the Wichita Family Crisis Center.”

The donation will help operate the 24/7 crisis center and assist in providing basic needs for domestic violence survivors and their children.

About the Wichita Family Crisis Center

The Wichita Family Crisis Center’s mission is to eliminate domestic violence in the Wichita community by supporting survivors through shelter, education, and advocacy. The Women’s Crisis Center, Wichita’s first emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence, was opened in August 1976 with the primary goal to empower, strengthen and stabilize families impacted by domestic violence. After 45 years and an official name change, the organization continues to pursue its original goals and maintain its mission. In 2019, with the help of generous donators, the Wichita Family Crisis Center was able to provide services to over 1,800 people affected by domestic violence.

Our Support

The cb{d} team is passionate about the Wichita Family Crisis Center’s mission and local outreach. With the rise in domestic violence occurrences in 2020 due to the pandemic, the assistance and continued support of community members have helped more domestic violence survivors and their children stay safe.
